Trina Strong has been painting since she was 8 years old; she has never had any formal training. Being self taught has brought the world into better focus for her and she enjoys painting plein-air, or outside on location in the elements. She especially enjoys painting the scenes from the Southwestern United States, the Native American culture and peoples. She excels in paintings of wild birds and flora. Her paintings can be found in collections around the world and in many leading galleries.

doesn't have time to list them. This painting is of a Western Goldfinch perched
on their favorite food, the wild thistle. Painted from a photo taken at the artists
house.
